We booked 3 nights at the Inn. It was one of a few inns recommended due to location near to a relatives apt. After checking out the JV inn’s reviews, we booked for our time in Lisbon. The inn exceeded expectations and prior reviews. A few highlights: helpful staff, an abundance of cleaning help and breakfast severs, many choices for breakfast, 24 hour tea and coffee service, including Nespresso espresso options, complimentary port wine in each room, a favorite Molton Brown bathroom cleansing items, entire hotel extremely clean and tidy, great location in a neighborhood with embassies (Luxembourg embassy next door) and nearby tasty bakeries, cafes and restaurants. This inn is worth a visit, we will certainly return.

Windows when opened, you can hear street noise. Not a big deal.

Amazing roof terrace to watch the sunset or enjoy a bit of sunlight, lovely rooms with really comfy beds. The staff at the hotel truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home and happy. Lovely breakfast which can be enjoyed in the lovely garden. The complimentary port wine and the endless free espresso at the facilities was a super big plus to an already amazing place. This historical building is located in a lovely , quiet but very much central location. A must if you're in Lisbon!

My favourite hotel

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, an old house in a quiet area of Lisbon, bedrooms are cosy with Molton brown toiletries, the other downstairs rooms are relaxing areas with free coffee and tea stations, even port wine is complimentary. Bar drinks are on honesty bar. The breakfast is simply amazing, 7.30am to 12pm, there's a walled garden as well It's around 20 mins walk from main tourist centre, but there is a bus outside the hotel, Just wonderful

I liked the cosy style of the hotel. It gave you the feeling of being in the past century and therefore was a nice fit with the city. And with this the team working at the hotel made you feel very welcome as a guest.

Great boutique hotel, friendly and comfortable!

This is an unusualy hotel, with cosy places to sit in comfortable chairs, including a large lounge with great views. It is quiet, despite there many guests when I was there. The staff are very friendly and always helpful. This is the second time I have stayed there and it will be certainly my choice of hotel for my next trip.

Nothing really, the hotel is great value for money and little 'old world'. Very comfortable and peaceful. For holidaymakers it is not the most convenient hotel for the center of town, but it is easily and quickly reached by public transport or a pleasant riverside walk.

The room and bathroom are very clean. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The beautiful living room with the coffee, and tea all the time available is a plus. We had really a pleasant stay!

The air in the room is not very well circulated. There is an unpleasant smell.

It was nice but some things can be improved.

Good location, tasty breakfast, comfy beds, great views

I was surprised by all the steps in this hotel! Even to get in through the front door you need to climb a couple of steps then a few more to get to the reception. There is an elevator but you still need to climb several flights of stairs to get to it and from there to your room- it’s definitely not for people who have trouble walking or elderly! I also thought it was unusual for everything to be self-service, from the bar to the front door-you receive a front key and have to let yourself in which isn’t as simple when it’s dark outside! The front door is also very narrow. I never experienced this in any hotel I stayed in.

Memorable stay in Lisbon Janelas Verdes Inn.

Our room was large and set up exactly as we had requested. Staff was excellent, particularly the breakfast staff. Breakfast was excellent with many options. One of the best breakfast situations I have ever had. Library on the top floor with available beverages was excellent. We loved Lisbon, and this hotel was one of the reasons why. Thank you!

The tub was a little slippery, so be careful. Elevator quit working once, but it was okay. The door to our room could be a little bit of a pain, suggest you upgrade to an electronic one. Thank you.
